Changes & Installation &
Information
First: Always read the manufacturer's instructions and follow them
- if I disagree then they are correct
Second: Make backups of your system or at least all important
information before doing anything. A reinstall is always a way out. That includes data
files and drivers you may need for a reinstall
Third: Make a boot disk which includes your CD -ROM drivers.
You should have one of these always. Never know when it'll be needed
Fourth: Make sure you have the win95/win98 recovery disk
which should have been generated during install.
Fifth: Make sure you access BIOS and turn off BIOS virus check if
it is on. Win95/98 install will write to the bootsector and the BIOS virus check might not
like it. This is required for installation and transfer of WIN95/Win98

win98
